In recognition of individuals who have continually or exceptionally gone above and beyond in their role in support or delivery of Army Sport, Director of the Army Sport Control Board (ASCB) has commissioned a coin to recognise an individual’s contribution to sport in the Army at all levels.
The purpose of this award is to:
- Recognise and reward individual outstanding achievements in the delivery or support of Army Sport.
- Raise the profile of exemplary Army Sports personnel.
- To assist in promoting sport in the Army, and its benefits
The award of the coin is open to anyone who has made a difference in sport within the Army at all levels and is open to participants, Officials, Committee members and individuals who give of their own time to ensure others can participate.
There are a number of people at all levels who are key to ensuring that sport across all levels of the Army is well run and who drive forward participation but who currently are not formally recognised, this coin allows OIC/Corps Secs/Team Managers the ability to formally recognise their contributions.
